John A. "Jay" Countaway, Jr. - U.S. Marine
Corp., Vietnam War - served with the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines. He was killed
in action by small arms fire on May 8, 1968 in Quang Tri Province, South
Vietnam. He had been wounded earlier, but volunteered to remain in Vietnam.
