Description |
Item from local newspaper about an old Winthrop relic, Indian Rock, reportedly used by Native Americans to grind maize. The rock was moved from the estate of George Turnbull to the corner of Pauline St. and Pleasant St. Then moved again in about 1860 for the construction of a medical building at the location. Where it went is not known. |
