Shirley to reminiscing. This school house was built in 1856 -- the same year as our first town hall, and by the same builder, George Shaw -- and cost $635. The lumber proved to be sound as new when taken down and stored by Mr. Roberts; the building was 22 feet by 26 feet...." |
