Frank J. Mulone (1919-1942) - U.S. Army Air Forces, WWII - enlisted November 2, 1942. He served with the 37th Bomb Squadron, 17th Bomb Group as Radio Operator and Gunner on a B-26 Bomber. He was killed in action on February 24, 1943 when his plane was shot down on a mission to El Aouina Aerodrome in Tunis. He was awarded the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters and a Purple Heart. He is memorialized at the North Africa American Cemetery, Carthage, Tunisia.
