Jack Elkin (1919-1944) - U.S. Navy, WWII - enlisted after Pearl Harbor and was assigned sea duty as a radioman. He saw action in the invasion of Sicily and Salerno. RM Elkin was killed in action on LCI 32, January 26, 1944 in the attack on the Anzio Beachhead. He is memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
