Cottage Hill

File # 1118
Title Cottage Hill
Description Cottage Hill about 1913. The "standpipe" or water tower, a structure erected in 1910 has become a navigational landmark and a symbol of our seaside community. This photo illustrates the amount of land that has eroded between the bluff and the water tower since this photo was snapped. The large building hugging the drumlin did not survive the test of time. This building built in 1889 once housed the Aphelion Society. This clubhouse was a social organization whose goal it was to improve the beach area.
